Highways Agency Headquarters completed
Paramount has completed a security project for the Highways Agencies new UK 4 storey headquarters in Bedford.
August has seen the completion of the final stage of the project, to provide a complete security solution from one provider.
The entire solution is fully integrated and is based around the Europlex 3GS system; in the event of any activation or unauthorised entry attempt at a door or barrier, the CCTV in the guard room zooms to the location of the event, providing the security staff with a live view of any type of occurrence.			Paramount were specified as a specialist contractor to provide a fully integrated security solution, comprising of Intruder and flood alarms, access control, CCTV, audio help points and Traffic barriers providing a total security solution to the building and its perimeter.

Card access readers are fitted at some 40 locations around the site, and offer long range readers at disabled personnel doors, standard card readers at office doors and combined readers with coded entry at key locations.			A local security PC also displays maps of the site, graphically demonstrating the precise location of a potential problem to on site security staff.

			Two Way audio help points were installed around the site location, also integrated with the CCTV and connected to the Guard Room.
