Paramount Protect South Wales Harbour
Paramount has provided a bespoke CCTV surveillance system to one of the most hostile environments in the UK. A harbour in South Wales with waves and tides from the Irish Sea is one of the most destructive forces known to man. This required a specialist surveillance system to monitor the harbour front, harbour entrance and approach roads.
	Specialist marine grade stainless steel fully functional cameras were selected. To be installed onto CCTV towers at key locations around the town. The cameras in heavy duty housings produce excellent images in all weather conditions, and Infrared lighting enabled the cameras to operate even in the harbour entrance looking out to sea. The contract worth £270,000 also included for video transmission to a local control room and all necessary front end control equipment that the operators would require to monitor the system.
