Metal Mickey Goes Punk with Paramount

Paramount Security Group have completed a wide and varied wildlife monitoring system for Severn Trent water at Carsington Water, Nr. Ashbourne, in Derbyshire. The project was designed by Paramount for Severn Trent Water at this stunning reservoir, Carsington Water attracts over 1 million visitors each year, and has a varied number of shops and restaurants, along with an Exhibition Area, Water Sports facilities and a fishery. The Wildlife Centre is very popular attraction with people of all ages. The centre has been equipped with the latest in high resolution wildlife cameras and a CCTV system, providing visitors with more interaction with Birds, mammals and other wildlife found around the vicinity. The high end Perimeter Security Systems were ideal for monitoring Wildlife, due to their High Definition and High Resolution Image quality.

Metal Mickey goes PUNK at Carsington Water! In order to prevent larger birds from swooping onto smaller birds nests and eggs on the remote nesting island, Paramount have converted the Metal Mickey PTZ camera into a punk rocker. The famous Metal Mickey camera used in the TV series Big Brother has been fitted with a spikey haircut. This stops any larger birds from landing or roosting on the top of the camera assembly. Paramount has installed Forward Vision; Metal Mickey Cameras with local operating keyboards. Visitors can operate cameras from around the centre using a joystick camera controller. Local bird boxes around the centre have been installed with high resolution colour cameras, which can also feed live images at nesting time to the upstairs restaurant in the main visitor centre.
