Northampton City Council Protected by Paramount
Northampton city council has awarded an audio system project to Paramount. The installation was completed in January and utilised Two Paramount standalone remote audio access terminals to a project near Northampton City Centre.
	The audio access terminals are new to the Paramount product range and are suitable for internal or external control and routing of two-way duplex speech into remote control rooms or receptions. The product will soon be listed on our web site as part of an update being carried out over the next few months, which will include many new products and also see some of the older systems becoming redundant.
The standalone audio access terminal can be connected directly to a PSTN BT phone line, to route a call anywhere around the country. They can also be connected as an extension to a PBX site telephone exchange.
Pushing the “Call” or “Help” (depending upon the configuration of the unit) key will cause the unit to seize the phone line and dial a pre-programmed telephone number. The person receiving the call can activate an internal output fitted within the access terminal, this can be used to grant entry through a door, gate or barrier or can alternatively be used to activate a strobe light on the assembly to make locating the terminal easier for the emergency services.
