Paramount Secure Bacardi Martini in Southampton.
Paramount have recently completed a major security upgrade to the prestigious site and bonded Warehouse In Southampton.
	The site covering some incredible 10 acres meant that an effective security and access control system would be required. The premises have three local control rooms with guard staff, as well as a central control centre, which monitors the control rooms. Paramount were awarded the contract against tough competition, but won the scheme on the basis of using a UK manufacturer with a specialist electronic installation division, with a reliable support network. The choice of the installer was critical to Bacardi Martini, and after a number of references were checked Paramount were finally chosen because of a high level of technical expertise and experience in the high security sector.
The project involved the supply of four automated gates, ranging in road widths from 6 to 10 Metres. 3 of the sliding gates were powered by Paramount heavy duty chain driven sliding gate drives with advanced safety and security features not available on most other gate systems.
	The largest gate supplied on the contract was a Paramount series 2, Sliding Gate this covered a road width of 10 Metres. The Series 2 Gate is operated with an exceptional drive motor, with chain driven operation, anti-crushing, and inbuilt gate tracker which can report to a PC, advising the exact location of the gate. The Series 2 Sliding gate was released in early April and just completed Paramount’s rigorous testing and evaluation program.
