Paramount awarded security contract for the Highways Agency National Headquarters

Paramount is pleased to announce the acquisition of a installation security contract to install a fully integrated security system on the Highways agencies new national headquarters in Bedford.

The Highways agency is responsible for all major road networks within the UK, as being a third party providers for certain contracts and monitoring the national network of motorway CCTV cameras.

Paramount was chosen for their ability as a large scale perimeter security manufacturer and a specialist high security installer with the unique ability to provide total security.

The four storey complex encompasses 5 acres and includes extensive offices, control centres and conference facilities as well as 5 separate car parks.

Paramount have been appointed to provide fully integrated security systems, including Intruder alarms, CCTV systems, Traffic Barriers and Access Control systems and Turnstiles systems. Individual staff will be granted access via a photo ID badge implemented at key locations around the site, fitted with time and access level restrictions.

Two way communication systems will also be installed for contact with visitors and non essential personnel.

Sophisticated flood monitoring equipment is also being incorporated into the system, to protect assets from burst pipes or leaking roofs.
