Current safety legislation.

Paramount Security Group would like to formally advise all customers along with End Users of ALL automated gate products (not limited to those of Paramount Manufacture) that due to recent accidents experienced by some of our competitors within the UK which involved Automatic Gates; a wide number of Automated Gates installed prior to 2009 will no longer meet current safety legislation.

Clients are advised to contact Paramount to arrange for a site risk assessment to be carried out on there automated gates. This risk assessment will identify any work which needs carrying out in order to comply with the new safety legislation.

We recommend that gates which are not in compliance with the new safety directorate are immediately disabled and isolated until the safety systems and guards have been upgraded. Automated gates should not be used in automatic operation until they have received an upgrade; where they are not equipped with the latest safety detection.

Changes and new legislation mean older gates manufactured prior to 2009 are likely not to comply with the new safety legislation.

Please contact our Rugeley Operations centre  on 0870 399 0999 option 2 to arrange for a site visit and risk assessment to be carried out.
